Star-struck Stripes - Table Runner

In this class, we'll cover:

• Sewing machine basics: threading the machine and bobbin, rethreading, changing needles, and basic cleaning
• Troubleshooting common issues like skipped or missed stitches
• Reading and understanding a basic quilting pattern
• Using essential quilting tools: rulers, rotary cutters, pins/clips, marking tools, and more

By the end of the course, you'll complete a "Star-struck Stripes" table runner ---- a patriotic and festive project.
What You'll Need to Bring:

• Your sewing machine
• White or gray thread
• (Optional but helpful): rotary cutter, cutting mat, pins or clips, stitch ripper, fabric marking pens, and scissors

A complete project kit will be available in our shop, and your instructor will provide access to a few extra tools so you can try them out before investing. 
Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or just need a refresher, you'll leave feeling confident and inspired ---- and with a beautiful handmade table runner to show for it!

Instructor Bio:	Quilt teacher and creative enthusiast, Kat Mack didn't grow up surrounded by fabric scraps or sewing machines, but when the world slowed down in 2020, she found her rhythm in quilting ---- and hasn't looked back since. What began as a creative outlet during the pandemic quickly became a passion, one stitch at a time. Starting with baby quilts and gradually expanding into vibrant seasonal pieces for her home, Kat dove headfirst into the quilting world. Her curiosity and drive led her beyond traditional patterns into more contemporary styles, with a recent focus on paper piecing ---- a technique she now loves for its precision and creative possibilities. Kat is a regular at quilting retreats and values the inspiration and community they offer. As a teacher, she brings a fresh perspective and a welcoming attitude, encouraging others to explore quilting no matter their background or experience level. Her goal is simple: to help others discover the joy and fulfillment that quilting has brought into her life.
