Beginning Quilting - Chapter One
Fabric Requirements: 7 Colors Total
2 Color families in Light, Medium and Dark
Ex: 3 shades of Gold and 3 shades of Burgundy
2 - Light Colors = 3/4 yards (.75) each
2 - Medium Colors = 1/2 yard (.50) each
2 - Dark Colors = 1/2 yard (.50) each
1 Accent Color for "Hearth" and Sashing = 1 yard
Traditional Log Cabins use Red, Yellow or Orange for the "hearth". Modern Log Cabins the "hearth" should have some contrast but can be any color.
